How To Format Any Size USB Drive as NTFS 6:15 PM

If you take a typical USB stick and select the Windows format option, you only get the FAT and FAT32 option for anything under 4GBs. However, there are times you might want to format as NTFS. For example, you want to set specific file and folder privileges to the content and you feel NTFS is the best way.

Well, there is an easy solution and it’s just a matter of setting the options correctly in Windows for your device.

This is how you do it:

Start > My Computer > Right click on the drive letter for the USB stick and select Properties.

Next click the Hardware tab of the Properties dialogue box and select the device which you’d like to change. In this case, it’s drive letter F shown as “Simple Flash Disk 2.0 USB Device“ From here you can double-click the device or highlight in blue and click the Properties button.

The next step is click the Policies tab and set the device to “Optimize for Performance”

Once you’ve completed this, click out of each screen by pressing OK. The final step is going back to the USB stick you want to format, Right click and select Format and now the option for NTFS is available. Format away!

As you can see in this example, I’m able to format even a small USB stick of only 256MBs. Comments? Post them in the forum.

Requirements:
1.Winrar should be installed
2.Software you want to make portable

Steps:
1.install the software in your system
2.Then go to the installed folder
3.select all the files

Note: you should select the files within the installed folder pressing ctrl+A
4.then right click on any of the file then choose add to archieve using winrar
then follow the instructions as such in picture



THE COMMAND IS

Setup="Winrar.exe"

TempMode

Silent=1

Overwrite=1

NOTE: replace the name winrar with your software ie.. setup="softwarename.exe"

Finish hit ok button thats it your portable software is ready

Pdf ReDirect is an amazing program which allows you to turn printed material into pdf format. It's a great way to save paper, and have the article on your desktop/laptop for handy usage, especially when you're not online.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Your Computer
  • willingness to try new program
  • Folder to place all pdfs
Step1

All you have to do is find anything that you'd normally end up printing on your printer. Go to File, Print. But the difference here is changing your printer to "pdf redirect" (the option should be there if installed correctly)

Step1
Download CPU-Z from "www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php" and copy the zip file's contents into a folder. CPU-Z requires no installation, which means you can simply delete the folder when you are finished with it! The first CPU tab shows general information about your system processor.
Step2
Switch to the Mainboard tab and you can see details about your motherboard, BIOS, and graphic interface. Take particular note of your motherboard's manufacturer- this will come in handy if your board becomes faulty and you need to call customer support.
Step3
Click on the Memory tab- you'll see your system's RAM type shown in the first box. If you want to add to your PC's memory, then you should buy the same type in order to ensure compatibility. For a computer running Windows Vista, you should ideally have at least 1024 MB of ram.
Step4

  • Audacity 1.2 or 1.3
  • Audio you wish to edit
  • Computer
  • Mouse
Step1

Open Audacity and click FILE, IMPORT..., to Choose which audio you wish to edit.

With your cursor selection the portion of audio that you wish to Amplify ,and make sure you have the Selection Tool as your choose while editing( See Picture)

Go to the top bar and click EFFECT, AMPLIFY. This will Amp up or De-Amp the audio you have selected. Also if you mess up or want to select a different portion just click the Undo button.

After clicking EFFECT, AMPLIFY Audacity will bring you to a little pop up screen, which is where you select how much you want to amp up your audio or amp down your audio. Play around with the settings, and just preview to check out what you have before hitting OK to finalize your selection. Also, Click the little box to Allow Clipping.

After finalizing your amp selections your waveform should look slightly bigger, depending on how much you choose to amp up or down.

Once you are satisfied with your editing don't forget to Save your work. In Audacity to save and finalized a project go to FILE, EXPORT... Then simply choose where you want to place your editing audio file.
